Warranty

Our warranty - subject to the conditions of this warranty, Cosmopolitan Shutters & Blinds Pty Ltd, warrant our products to be free from defects in design, material and workmanship at the time of installation, for the specified time stated below:
Aluminium Shutters - 5 Years on panel
Venetians & Rollers - 1 year
Labour & Travel - 1 year
Basswood Shutters - 3 years on panel
Tracking, hardware, fittings, fixtures and fastenings - 1 year
Thermoshield Shutters - Lifetime on panel

This is a limited warranty, and the obligation of the manufacture is solely limited to repairs and replacement of any faulty components, provided the goods are maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
This warranty DOES NOT cover any failure of the product or fixtures, due to normal wear and tear, storm or wind damage, customer misuse, damage or neglect due to water or salt air - The company accepts no responsibility as to the performance of stainless steel or plated steel used in harsh environments including salt water, marine and coastal environments.  it is the customer's responsibility to maintain or coat such items prone to the conditions.  This limited warranty entends only to the original purchaser, an is non-transferrable.

Warranty:  This warranty is only valid provided that balance of payment is received on installation of goods.

Maintenance

Having a regular maintenance program for all products offered by Cosmopolitan Shutters & Blinds is adviseable to ensure the long life of the products and to protect your warranty.

*  Regularly dusting and wiping over all products with a clean damp cloth will assist in reducing the build-up of dirt, dust, salt and pollutants
*  All hinges and screws should be coated regularly with a silicone based lubricant to avoid products seizing or rusting in all areas - particularly those affected by salt water, marine and coastal environments
*  Warm mild soapy water can be used with a damp cloth to remove marks if required, however, any products that require the use of gloves to be worn when cleaning are not recommended.

Caution:  It is important that harsh abrasives or chlorine-based cleaners are not used on any of our products as these cleaners may affect the surface and durability of the Shutters or Blinds.  Any damage caused due to these products being used will fall into the category of misuse/neglect and will not be covered by warranty.

Harsh Environments:  Areas including those affected by salt water, marine and coastal environments will require more frequent maintenance such as coating all metal parts with a silicone based lubricant.  Also weekly cleaning to remove salt deposits is required.  This is very important as the company accepts no responsibility for stainless steel or plated steel used in these environments.
